Analytical Applications of
From the Preface of the book: This book is an introduction to Raman spectroscopy for scientists and engineers who need to solve chemical measurement problems. It is written at a level that should be useful for engineers and scientists who have little or no expertise in spectroscopy. The goal is to give the reader a general idea of what Raman spectroscopy is and when it may be the best way to make a chemical measurement. Even Raman experts will find topics of interest and utility. Temperature effects, chemometric analyses, and addressing fluorescence interference are just a few aspects addressed which are applicable to state-of-the art research as well as routine analysis. Chapters 1 and 2 in this book give background on general application of Raman spectroscopy and Raman instrumentation. Chapters 3-10 provide descriptions of numerous applications of Raman spectroscopy organized by field of application, and critically described by world leaders in those fields. Together, the book should give the reader a good start in the identification and development of new Raman applications. The book is published by Blackwell Science Ltd., Oxford (1999) We are proud to offer this book for $109 US + shipping
