| The RamanRxn2™ Multi-Reactor Analyzer
(MRA) is a new addition to the RamanRxn Systems™ family of Raman
analyzers, and is targeted to drug discovery and early process optimization
customers. In these regimes, multiple parallel small-scale reactors (10-100
mL) are often used to monitor, analyze, and optimize the reaction chemistry.
The ability to simultaneously follow several different potential reaction
pathways can significantly speed up early process development and remove
bottlenecks in the optimization pipeline. The multichannel RamanRxn2
MRA has been developed to meet and solve this need.
Raman spectroscopy provides the chemical specificity of mid-IR spectroscopy
and the sampling simplicity of a near-IR analyzer. By operating in the
visible spectral region, Raman spectroscopy allows vibrational spectra
to be collected in situ, using fiber-coupled probe heads, without sample
purging, and without the use of exotic sampling devices. The RamanRxn2
MRA utilizes fiber-coupled 1/4-inch probe optic technology for in situ
reaction monitoring.
The RamanRxn Systems family of instruments is based on advanced
and innovative technologies that provide distinct advantages over traditional
instrumentation. The HoloPlex™ advantage, standard in all RamanRxn2
MRA systems, yields both full spectral coverage and high spectral resolution
simultaneously for improved qualitative and quantitative analysis. Analysis
is fast because the entire Raman spectrum is measured simultaneously,
which translates into real-time data collection for reaction analysis
and monitoring. The RamanRxn2 MRA uses an optional Raman Calibration
Accessory (HCA) and advanced calibration protocols, developed and demonstrated
in the process arena, to ensure optimal instrument performance and calibration
transferability. |
