Pilot Process Immersion Probe

The Pilot™-E series of Raman probes has been developed for in situ process analyses. The modular design of the Pilot™-E probe allows the sampling point to be customized for each customer’s process and site requirements. By analyzing samples in situ under process conditions, there is no need for maintenance intensive sampling systems or slip streams which are typically required with traditional process analyzers.

Pilot™-E probes can be used with glass-lined reactors commonly found in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, without reactor modification as part of a Quality-by-Design (QbD) solution using Process Analytical Technology (PAT) analyzers. These probes can be supplied, marked, and certified to the ATEX directive or North American hazard area safety requirements. The combination of the Pilot™ line of Raman probes and Kaiser's RAMANRXN SYSTEMS™ analyzers yields a powerful Process Analytical tool for in situ analysis and control in manufacturing reactors or pipelines using quantitative Raman spectral analysis.

All Pilot™ probes utilize a single fiber for excitation and another for collection. For applications in pilot and manufacturing, this provides a robust interface and sampling versatility for laboratory equipment, as well as reduced cost for long runs of fiber in the process environment. Single collection fibers also permit simultaneous multi-channel operation on a single analyzer. Standard fiber cable length is 2 meters, however cable runs of up to 400 meters are feasible options.
