| The RamanRxn1™ High Throughput Screener
(HTS) is a new addition to the RamanRxn Systems™ family of Raman
analyzers, and is targeted to drug discovery, combinatorial chemistry,
and early process development customers. In these regimes the use
of automation has led to a significant increase in the number of potential
candidates and, consequently, the speed of analytical measurements
is often the limiting step in the discovery pipeline. The RamanRxn1
HTS has been developed to meet and solve this challenge.
Raman
spectroscopy provides the chemical specificity of mid-IR spectroscopy
but operates in the visible spectral region, allowing spectra to
be collected without sample purging, without the use of exotic sampling
cells, and in most cases, without sample preparation. The RamanRxn
Systems family of instruments is based on advanced and innovative
technologies to provide distinct advantages over traditional instrumentation.
The HoloPlex™ advantage, standard in all RamanRxn1 HTS systems,
yields both wide spectral coverage and high spectral resolution
simultaneously for improved qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Qualitative analysis is faster compared to traditional scanning
instruments because the entire Raman spectrum is measured simultaneously,
which translates into higher sample throughput in HTS applications,
real-time data collection for reaction monitoring, and faster imaging
for the microprobe. This unique advantage also allows the RamanRxn
Systems family of analyzers to be used for quantitative analysis.
The RamanRxn1 HTS uses an optional Raman Calibration Accessory (HCA)
and advanced calibration protocols, developed and demonstrated in
the process arena, to ensure optimal instrument performance and
calibration transferability.
The RamanRxn1 HTS, using the RamanRxn Systems spectrographic engine,
provides the flexibility needed for research with the reliability
expected of a proven process analyzer.
