| The Analytical Sample Compartment (HLSC)
is a CDRH Class 1 accessory that facilitates routine quantitative
and qualitative Raman measurements in the laboratory with RAMANRXN SYSTEM™ analyzers. Maximum user laser safety is ensured
by an automatic interlock incorporated into the sample chamber.
The HLSC is fiber-coupled to the spectrometer through a Kaiser filtered
probe head. This fiber-coupling provides the ultimate in versatility
ranging from contaminant analysis using a Raman microscope, reaction
monitoring using an external probe, and routine analyses using the
sample compartment. The compartment can accept any of many standard
RMS threaded optics.
The HLSC includes Kaiser's unique wavelength and intensity calibration
hardware to provide Raman measurements with unparalleled accuracy
and reproducibility. The calibration protocol provides quantitative
data and allows calibration transfer between different Raman instruments.
The HLSC has a large 10" x 10" x 7" sample chamber
to fit a wide variety of sampling inserts. These include an insert
for cuvettes, vials, bottles, or NMR tubes; a spinning insert for
hard disks; and custom-designed inserts to accommodate configurations
requiring flow cells, vacuum lines, or temperature control.
